Our main goal is to provide training to the community of the United States, so they can satisfy the need for avionics technicians in the aviation and related industries. Our Avionics Training Program is based on the theory and hands-on regarding the reading and interpretation of blueprints/diagrams, wire harness fabrication, troubleshooting, installations, basic electronics, basic fiber optics, tests and related that the Avionics Technicians perform on the field of the Aviation industry. As part of our training we include the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) tests & licenses. Our course focuses on teaching the proper techniques for installation of electronic equipment for navigation and communication systems of an aircraft. < Back NCATT Aircraft Electronics Technician Next > Get In Touch NCATT AET Avionics Electronics Technician The Federal Aviation Administration has formally recognized ASTM’s National Center for Aerospace and Transportation Technologies (NCATT) Aircraft Electronics Technician (AET) certification as equivalent to formal Avionics Technician training when showing eligibility for earning a repairman certificate. The NCATT AET certification examination is open to all individuals. In addition to completing the AET certification, individuals must complete the following ASTM NCATT endorsements: Autonomous Navigation Systems ( ANS ) Dependent Navigation Systems ( DNS ) Onboard Communications and Safety Systems ( OCS ) Radio Communication Systems ( RCS ) *Endorsements needs AET certification and cost $200 each. *NCATT AET and Endorsement are self-study, Instructors are available for a rate of $60 an hour.
